(New York, USA) On Wednesday, March 22, 2017, IANGEL will host a panel discussion “PRO BONO POWER: Leveraging legal resources to advance gender equality” in New York City.The UN Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) will host its 61st session, from March 13 – 24 , focused on Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Changing World of Work. In parallel, civil society groups from around the world convene to share best practices and to connect across the women’s rights movement at the NGO CSW Forum. IANGEL hosted a panel discussion at the UNCSW NGO Forum in 2016.
2017 Panelists include IANGEL President, Nancy J. Newman (USA) and Stella Odife, Director of Women’s Organisation for Gender Issues (Nigeria).
