What Information We Collect. When you request to “Join Us,” “Let Us Help,” or “Contact Us” we will collect personal information you voluntarily choose to provide to us, such as your first and last name, e-mail address, and postal address. We may also collect personal information about you from emails and other communications you may send to us from time to time. When you visit our Site, our web server automatically receives and records information sent from your browser including your IP address, browser type, browser language and the date and time of your request. We may aggregate statistics about our users, traffic patterns and related website information. These statistics include no personally identifying information.
How We Use the Information We Collect. The personal information that you provide allows us to contact you and connect you with gender equity resources, volunteer and pro bono opportunities, or other information. With your permission, we may post comments that you send us on our Site or identify you or your organization as an IANGEL partner or friend. Your personal information is also used to improve the content of the Site and make it more useful to you. Like many other website operators, we may use standard technology called “cookies” on the Site. Cookies are small amounts of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to prevent cookies from being stored. However, some Site features and services may not function properly if you have adjusted your browser settings to disable cookies.
How We May Share the Information We Collect. IANGEL is not in the business of selling your personal information. We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies. We may disclose your personal information to non-profit organizations, advocates and volunteers in order to connect you to resources or volunteer and pro bono opportunities. We may disclose your personal information when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorizes conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our Site and applicable laws, or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our Site.
Accessing, Updating or Deleting Your Information. Upon request, we offer visitors the ability to update, correct or delete the personal information that we maintain about them. You can update, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us.
Security. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information that we have collected from you on the Site, but do not guarantee the security of your information. No internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. In particular, e-mail sent to or from this Site may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any personal information to IANGEL via the internet.
