IANGEL joined dozens of jurists, scholars, public figures, and civil society representatives from across the world, including recent Nobel Peace Prize Winner Narges Mohammadi, in a joint letter urging UN Member States to codify the crime of gender apartheid in the draft crimes against humanity treaty, which will be debated by the UN Sixth Committee in October. The letter will be sent to Permanent Missions to the UN in advance of the UN Sixth Committee (Legal) debate on the Draft Crimes against Humanity Convention from October 11-12.
