(San Francisco, CA – USA)

IANGEL continues its commitment to the global elimination of child marriage and to the realization of women’s rights around the world by supporting its partner, Queen’s Bench, in its upcoming Elimination of Bias MCLE (credit pending) event on October 27th, 2016 in San Francisco, CA.

Speaker Lubna Jahangiri will begin the evening with a discussion of her novel, The Little Stepmother, which deals with child marriage in the context of Pakistan’s independence in an elaborate intergenerational story.

MCLE topics for the evening will include Islam, the history of Muslim women living under oppression, and the history of Muslim-Americans. This provides context to her material on working effectively and respectfully with Muslim colleagues, opposing counsel and clients.

Space is limited, advance registration through Queen’s Bench is required.
