IANGEL’s “Young Feminists: A Global Perspective”
Our panel discussion on August 22, 2019 asked three activists from El Salvador, Nepal and the U.S. to speak about the challenges faced by young feminists and how they are tackling these issues. Panelists provided both a global perspective and comparison of the issues faced.
We were honored to host panel members:

Karla Guerra, The Unity Council
Jessica Stender, Equal Rights Advocates
Swarnima Shrestha, IANGEL
& Moderator: Eliza Rodrigues, IANGEL

25 Bush St Floor 15

San Francisco, 94104

Listen to this incredibly powerful response from Karla Guerra in this short video about her experiences in El Salvador, the inescapable prevalence of domestic violence and how that informed her activism. From feeling surrounded by the toxic masculinity and violence she experienced everyday, she then found work in the legal system and began to do something about it.

What an honor to facilitate this conversation and hear voices from young leaders like Karla, Jessica and Swarnima. Thank you to everyone who came out. It was an inspiring night led by the next generation of global feminist leadership!
